U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service employees and other conservation professionals that would like to align their education and outreach activities to current education standards.
Summary and Objectives:
Education Standards such as the Next Generation of Science Standards provide educators the flexibility to design learning that stimulate students' interest in science and the environment. The goal of this workshop is for U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service employees and other conservation professionals to align their education and outreach activities to current education standards and explore other ways of assisting formal and non-formal educators. This Workshop is offered on-line via a live, two-hour instructor-led webinar. Participants will also spend two hours reviewing content and resources in an on-line classroom (DOI Talent) before the live webinar.

- Use resources and techniques to correlate educational standards with education and outreach activities.
- Adapt an existing education/outreach activity or lesson plan.
- Implement your developed education or outreach activity/lesson plan within 6 to 9 months.
