GNR LOC OF MARSH ROOST Six cranes flew southeast out of the marsh and 28 others were seen northwest of the marsh in soybean stubble. Based on prior years experience and the different directions, I do believe these were separate cranes. I rechecked on November 1 and saw a similar pattern where 15 flew southeast and 26 were found out in fields 3 miles west northwest. This year the closest corn is not yet harvested so numbers are lower than in some prior years. Once corn is harvested, the closer locations are more attractive.
