Two asynchronous videos that can be used by anyone. 1.) What is a National Wildlife Refuge 2.) Mammals: Predators & Prey. Fun exciting educational virtual field trips that meets the needs of both the FWS sites as well as Public Schools and homeschool groups throughout the nation. Programs are designed to meet select Next Generation Science Standards and select Florida state education standards along with the mission of the USFWD. These lessons will be supplementary to standard science lessons in elementary, and middle school courses. In addition to the virtual programs there are supplemental materials to go along with each video: Worksheets, teachers guides, standards correlations and additional activities. This is a collection of first-hand field reports from our biologists and staff during the Western Canada Cooperative Banding Program, more commonly referred to as the waterfowl banding operations. This effort is led by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service Migratory Bird Program and in conjunction with our partners at the Canadian Wildlife Service.
