Visit Us
There are no roads or communities within the Refuge boundaries, and most of the habitats within it are essentially pristine, making Kanuti unique. Visitation is low due to the remote location, allowing for outstanding opportunities for those who do choose to visit to experience solitude. It's a place where visitors can find a remote wilderness experience with few, if any, visible signs of human manipulation or a permanent human presence.

Bettles Ranger Station & Visitor Center
Constructed in 2008, the Bettles Ranger Station and Visitor Center is shared by the Gates of the Arctic National Park and Preserve and Kanuti National Wildlife Refuge. Staff at the center provide backcountry and area orientations.
