British soldiers

Fish and Wildlife Service staff recently joined staff from the U.S. Forest Service, N.C. Forest Service, and state forest agencies from across the nation on a tour of the East Fork Headwaters tract in Western North Carolina. The tract includes headwaters for the French Broad River, rare Southern Appalachian mountain bogs, and Southern Appalachian brook trout. The land is part on an ongoing conservation effort by the North Carolina Forest Service.
