The Tahoe National Forest built wetlands near Foresthill, California in 2021. The Mosquito Fire ripped through the area in 2022, leaving behind the charred remains of trees that can still be seen surrounding the wetland. But the wetland itself has found new residents in 2024 – threatened California red-legged frogs!
