Buck Island National Wildlife Refuge is closed to the public. No visitor services programs or facilities exist to accommodate visitation to the island.
Buck Island National Wildlife Refuge, St. Thomas, was established in 1969 for its "particular value in carrying out the national migratory bird management program." The refuge consists of the entire 45-acre island. The refuge boundary extends to sea level and does not include submerged or marine habitat.
