The hatchery is just one of the many Service field stations whose mission is working with others to conserve, protect, and enhance fish, wildlife, and plants and their habitats for the continuing benefit of the American people.
Our facility is open to the public from 10 a.m.- 3 p.m. for self-guided tours of the outdoor raceway area.
Activities
An estimated 50,000 people visit the hatchery annually for the opportunity to see a close-up view of the fish production process. The public is invited to take a self-guided tour of the outdoor raceways viewing fish of many sizes.

- Camping at the U.S. Army Corp of Engineers JFK or Dam Site campgrounds.
- Fishing on the Little Red River and Greers Ferry Lake.
- Boating and swimming on Greers Ferry Lake.

Rules and Policies
To make visiting Greers Ferry NFH a safe and enjoyable experience, please keep off the raceway walls and catwalks. Please do not stick your hands in the water, feed the fish, throw objects in the water, or startle the fish. There is no running in the raceways. All pets must be on a leash and controlled.
Please remember to social distance and allow our staff enough space to safely perform their duties.

- No drones are allowed on hatchery grounds

Driving directions: Coming from Heber Springs, cross the Greers Ferry Dam, turn right on Hatchery Road. Continue about one mile. The main entrance is on the left just prior to entering the JFK campground.
