About this Collection

As required by federal regulations, the Natural Resource Trustees opened a publicly available Administrative Record for the M/V Selendang Ayu oil spill natural resource damage assessment and restoration case. The record is a library of the Trustees’ major decisions and contains key documents that the Trustees relied upon during decision-making for the case. The contents of the Record demonstrate how the Trustees complied with the federal regulations for natural resource damage assessments under the Oil Pollution Act (33 U.S.C. §§2701 et seq.).  References shown in parentheses below refer to the corresponding section of the federal natural resource damage assessment regulations for oil spills (15 CFR Part 990).

NEWS:  The "Draft Damage Assessment and Restoration Plan and Environmental Assessment for Marine Resources for the M/V Selendang Ayu Oil Spill" is available for public review and comment!  Comment deadline: October 3, 2024.   See page 18 of the Draft Restoration Plan for directions on how to submit comments.

This webpage is an index to the Administrative Record.  From the list below, clicking on a hyperlink will take you to the document, if it is available for public distribution.  Historical documents that were not originally created to be compliant with Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, as amended (29 U.S.C. §794d), and that cannot be made compliant without undue burden to the government, are available upon request in hard copy only.  Contact Veronica Varela.  You can also search for documents using keywords in the search bar in the "Search in the Collection" widget near the bottom of this page.

The Trustees acknowledge that this is an incomplete compilation of their Administrative Record.  Additional documents will be added incrementally in the future.
