An Atlantic salmon at the Winooski One fish ladder

The trap-and-truck program at the Winooski One Dam is the best location to monitor whether salmon from an experimental broodstock are surviving. It gives biologist the opportunity to get their "hands on a fish" to take a tissue sample from a fin for analysis.
