Private landowner and environmental attorney Beth Bardwell spends much of her free time on her own patch of land adjacent to the Rio Grande in southern New Mexico. Removing invasive salt cedars that pop up takes a lot of work. Through the Partners for Fish and Wildlife Program, Bardwell was able to get help removing the bulk of the salt cedar. Today, a pair of endangered southwestern willow flycatchers call this spot home.
