Buffalo River NRDAR

In 2021, the U.S. Department of the Interior, New York State, and the Tuscarora Nation, as Trustees for natural resources, negotiated a proposed settlement valued at $6.25 million to restore natural resources and their services and preserve more than 70 acres of natural undeveloped habitat along the Buffalo River in Buffalo, New York, benefiting fish and wildlife resources and the City of Buffalo community, including low income and minority groups. Trustee solicitation and implementation of restoration projects is ongoing.
