Biologist Craig Haskell, Yakima River Basin Water Enhancement Project Liaison for the Yakima Office of the Mid-Columbia Fish and Wildlife Conservation Office, releases a bull trout into lower Gold Creek, a tributary of Keechelus Lake where bull trout spawn. The fish was collected below Keechelus Dam, tagged with a PIT tag, and transported above the dam as a part of a trap and haul program at Bureau of Reclamation dams. There is no upstream passage for Bull Trout at Keechelus Dam and trap and haul is used to provide passage.
