Eastern box turtles seized from an illegal shipment

In the weeks after they were taken in by the New England Aquarium, Zoo New England, and Roger Williams Zoo, eastern box turtles confiscated from an illegal shipment began to show signs of ranavirus. Many of the turtles died from the disease, which has no cure.
