Findings for the Amendments to the Lesser Prairie Chicken and Dunes Sagebrush Lizard CCA and CCAA 2022

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service’s New Mexico Ecological Services Field Office has worked with Center of Excellence for Hazardous Materials Management (Center of Excellence/Applicant) to amend the Candidate Conservation Agreement and Candidate Conservation Agreement with Assurances (collectively referred to as Conservation Agreements) for the lesser prairie-chicken (Tympanuchus pallidicinctus) and the dunes sagebrush sagebrush

The sagebrush landscape provides many benefits to our rural economies and communities, and it serves as crucial habitat for a diversity of wildlife, including the iconic greater sage-grouse and over 350 other species.
