Nathan Gale and Anuja Parikh

Husband and wife team Nathan Gale and Anuja Parikh were among the first botanists to rediscover San Fernando Valley spineflower on the Grapevine Mesa of Newhall Ranch in 2000. They are fondly known as the “spineflower whisperers,” and collected much needed data for Newhall Ranch on the spineflower population over nearly two decades.
