Title: Species Status Assessment Report for the Fisher (Pekania pennanti) Northern California-Southern Oregon Distinct Population Segment

Purpose: The Species Status Assessment (SSA) report will inform the determination by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (Service) whether the fishers within the Northern California-Southern Oregon (NCSO) distinct population segment (DPS) warrants listing as a threatened or endangered species under the Endangered Species Act. The information in the SSA report is likely to be influential scientific information.
