San Andres NWR - Snow on western side of San Andres Mountains

Snow covers areas of a mountain range. The mountains have short, brown vegetation growing on them. This makes the white snow contrast against the brown vegetation, and the mountains appear to have waves of white and brown across them. The mountains are closer to the viewer at the bottom of the photo and get farther away moving towards the top of the photo, until there is a white sky at the top.

Snow covers the western side of the San Andres Mountains. This mountain range is managed in part by the San Andres National Wildlife Refuge, and the mountains are home to a variety of wildlife including desert bighorn sheep.
