Tools of the bird counting volunteer at Nestucca Bay National Wildlife Refuge

Volunteer bird counters and refuge staff work together to count geese from October through May each year at Nestucca Bay National Wildlife Refuge. Data is input by one person while the other identifies species and passes along their observed numbers.
