Upper Klamath Lake is a large, shallow body of fresh water fed by the Williamson and Sprague Rivers, and where the Klamath River headwaters originate. The lake is home to two species of ESA listed suckers. The water is important to the Klamath Tribes, the agriculture community, and the Klamath Basin National Wildlife Refuge Complex which supports thousands of migratory birds on the Pacific Flyway.
