About Us
The Washington Fish and Wildlife Office and its field offices throughout the state are part of the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service's Ecological Services program. We work closely with our partners to conserve the nation's fish, wildlife, plants and habitat by providing national leadership for the conservation of species and their habitats under the authorities of the Endangered Species Act, the Fish and Wildlife Coordination Act, the Coastal Barrier Resources Protection Act, the Clean Water Act and more.
Strategic Plan
In October 2021, Washington Ecological Services released our five-year strategic plan. This 2022-2026 plan is intended to guide and focus our actions and capacity in the years ahead. It will serve as a road map to ensure that we make meaningful and measurable progress in our conservation mission, our partnerships, and with our team.
