Northern DPS 4(d) Rule Grazing Exception

The Service understands the vital role that managed grazing plays in maintaining grasslands and looks forward to continuing to work with partners and landowners to promote sustainable grazing practices. The prescribed grazing exception provides that take of the lesser prairie-chicken will not be prohibited provided the take is incidental to activities associated with grazing management that are conducted by a land manager who is implementing a grazing management plan developed by a qualified party.
