What’s happening?

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS), National Conservation Training Center (NCTC) will increase tuition rates.

When it is happening.

October 1, 2024. 

Why it’s happening?

The current tuition rates have been in place for over 15 years. This tuition increase is necessary for us to cover operational costs.

Who is affected?

Tuition fees are not charged for FWS or NPS employees unless they cancel attendance from a course and do not adhere to the cancellation policy. Tuition fees are charged for FWS contractors, FWS volunteers, and non-FWS participants. 

                    
FAQs:

Can I pay early?

No, payments will not be accepted until approximately ten weeks from the start of our course, when the course is confirmed. Payment can be made at the current rate if your course is confirmed before October 1, 2024.

What happens if I already paid or if I pay before September 30th?

All tuition payments made by September 30, 2024, will be at the current rate.

What happens if I pay on or after October 1st, 2024?

All tuition payments made on October 1, 2024, or later will be at the new rate.
