Boating on the Green River within the Refuge is only permitted with non-motorized boats and watercraft. These include drift boats, rafts, canoes, kayaks, and paddle boards.
Gravel boat ramps are located at the Swinging Bridge and Crook Campgrounds. There is no overnight parking except for people camping at established campsites in the campgrounds. Vehicles parked overnight will be towed at the owner's expense.
Camping along the river and/or on sandbars is prohibited. Please refer to the Camping page for more information regarding camping on the Refuge.
Browns Park NWR does not require refuge-specific permits to float on the Green River. However, the areas upstream and/or downstream of the Refuge may have more stringent requirements for boaters. It is the boater's responsibility to know where they are and the regulations for that location.
Visit the Fishing page for more information about fishing within the Refuge. No commercial guide and/or outfitting allowed within the Refuge.
