We are better together. Our friends and partners are key to our success in stewarding a legacy of wildlife and wildlands. A key element of Cat Island National Wildlife Refuges’ purpose is to encourage community engagement and facilitate partnerships among the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, local communities and conservation organizations. Current partners include the West Feliciana Parish Tourist Commission, the Louisiana Hiking Club and Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries.
The Friends of Cat Island support a wide variety of projects at the Southeast Louisiana National Wildlife Refuges Complex. As a non-profit organization, our Friends group seeks funding from private and public sources and secures grants for habitat restoration, special events, and education projects.
