National wildlife refuges are, first and foremost, for plants, fish, wildlife and their habitats, but they also offer wildlife-dependent recreational opportunities for the public to enjoy, such as hunting, fishing, photography, wildlife observation, environmental education, and interpretation.
Trails
Whether you are birding, exploring, hunting, or just wanting to stretch your legs, the Chickasaw NWR has a few trails you may enjoy. These trails are typically used by hunters, but may also be enjoyed by birders, hikers, and other outdoor enthusiasts. Chickasaw NWR offers a few trails primarily used by hunters. These trails are not named, or marked, but can be found by viewing Chickasaw National Wildlife Refuge’s Public Use brochure.
