We host a variety of programs on the refuge at our visitor centers and trail heads. Learn something new or meet new people at a program that fits your interest. We partner with local organizations and have talented volunteers that lead many of our programs in addition to staff led talks and walks.
Visit the Events page for a list of upcoming programs!
Some programs we hold are:
- Beginner bird watching walks with volunteers from the Minnesota River Valley Audubon Chapter (MRVAC)
- Gallery Artist Talks
- Photography tutorials
- Presentations by local Master Gardeners
- Speakers sponsored by MRVAC
- Children's activities
- Fishing education events
- Wildlife festivals and events
In response to CDC and local guidance for COVID-19, indoor programs and events have been suspended until further notice. Virtual and outdoor programs are listed on the events page. Per federal guidance, masks are required for all visitors on federal grounds when social distancing is not possible, and within federal buildings. For more information, call 952-854-5900.
