Fed by snowmelt from the Warner Mountains, the Pit River creates a 7,000 acre oasis for wildlife in the high desert of northeastern California -- Modoc National Wildlife Refuge.

Cooperative Agriculture Opportunity

We have an opportunity for an eligible and qualified applicant to conduct haying and grazing on the Refuge. The term of the cooperative agriculture agreement will be three years, from Aug. 1, 2025 through Dec. 1, 2027. Completed applications must be received by April 25, 2025.
