Winter Wildlife Field Days 2025

March 1st - 31st (with online activities available throughout the year)!
A bilingual and accessible nature adventure hosted throughout the entire month of March and all across the mid-Willamette Valley! Everything is free with in-person events in your favorite nearby nature spots, including places you won't need a car to get to. Check our schedule and find an event near you.
2025's theme is "Habitat is Home!" We are looking forward to seeing you this year!
Interested in volunteering at a Winter Wildlife Field Station?
When?
Over 20 different volunteer shifts to choose from in March with 2 to 3.5 hour shifts available. Feel free to sign up for multiple shifts/days!
Where?
Locations all over the mid-Willamette Valley! Corvallis, Monmouth, Albany, Independence, Dallas, Ankeny Hill Nature Center and Salem. See Sign-up Genius for exact locations and addresses.
We welcome youth volunteers, and you'll see separate volunteer slots for that. We always appreciate someone that knows languages other than English!
What will volunteers do?
Help set-up and take down the field station (pop-up tents, folding tables, outreach and education materials, supplies, etc.)
Pass out WWFD event stickers, activities and take-home's
Answer families' questions and keep track of the number of participants that visit
Help guide kids through various activities: decomposer detective; calm kit creation; make your own herbarium; Oregon animal adventure obstacle course; more!
- You'll meet other wonderful volunteers and help a lot of families learn and do something new
What do I bring?

- Dress warmly and for any weather
