About Alex Gilford

Alex has worked as a museum educator at historical and art museums in Michigan for over 10 years. He also worked as a Park Ranger with the U.S. Forest Service in Wyoming and Utah during the Summer 2022 season. Alex appreciates year-round fishing in southeast Michigan; he is looking forward to introducing others to the activity and inspiring them to become stewards of our region’s watershed through the Detroit River Youth Fishing Team program. In his free time Alex enjoys hiking, camping, paddling, and working with his horse - an American Paint Horse named Grace."
