About Chris DeVore

Chris DeVore was born and raised in Anchorage, AK where his passion for conservation began. He moved east and received his Bachelors in Business from the University of Maryland and later his Masters in Natural Resources from the University of Idaho. He first joined the Chesapeake Bay ES Office as a SCEP student in 2011 and proceeded through Pathways and the early years of the Directorate Fellowship Program. He converted into a permanent position with the Maine ES Office as a transportation liaison in 2016 where his work primarily focused on conserving the endangered Atlantic Salmon. In 2020, the Southeast Conservation Blueprint took him south to Tennessee where he has served as Blueprint User Support for the last 5 years in the Conservation Science and Innovation Program. This year brings him back into the transportation world where he will be working with the Tennessee Department of Transportation as a conservation partner to protect and conserve species while helping guide the development of infrastructure around the state.
