About Dan Bjornlie

Dan began serving as the FWS Polar Bear Program Lead in 2024 after working as the Walrus and Sea Otter Program Lead.  Prior to joining the Service, he worked as a Large Carnivore Biologist for the Wyoming Game and Fish Department, leading grizzly and black bear research, monitoring, and management.  He has a B.S. in ecology from Michigan Tech University and a M.S. in Fish and Wildlife Ecology from Montana State University.
