About David Teague
David Teague is a Fish Biologist at Erwin National Fish Hatchery. David earned his Bachelor’s in General Biology at Lee’s-McRae College in North Carolina. Since graduating, he has served in several biological positions including Law Enforcement for the National Parks Service, Interpretive Ranger at Great Smoky Mountain National Park, and a Zookeeper position at Grandfather Mountain Zoo. As a zookeeper David cared for bears, bobcats, mountain lions, eagles, whitetail deer, etc. David joined the USFWS - Erwin National Fish Hatchery team in 1997, and is now the hatchery operations expert and historian.
