Eric is from the foothills of the Adirondacks in upstate New York. He received his bachelor's (Fisheries and Aquatic Science) and master's (Fish and Wildlife Biology and Management) degrees from the State University of New York, College of Environmental Science and Forestry in Syracuse, New York where he got hands on experience conducting research on the ecology of fish parasites and invasive species invasive species
