About Gregory Byford
Greg Byford is the Hatchery Evaluation Biologist for the Western Washington FWCO. Previously, Greg worked as a permanent Biological Science Technician on the Population and Habitat Assessment Team at the Western Washington FWCO. He received his B.S. and M.S. degrees from the Department of Fisheries and Wildlife at Michigan State University. During his time at MSU, Greg worked on a variety of research projects in the Great Lakes region including using pheromones to control invasive sea lamprey, the rehabilitation of Lake sturgeon at a streamside hatchery, diet studies of salmonids and tracking the invasion of red swamp crayfish. Greg enjoys exploring the outdoors in all capacities, even more so with a fishing rod in hand.
