About Jill Russi
Ms. Jill Russi began her federal career with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in 1993 as a Park Ranger. After seven years in the field, she became a Regulator working on Section 404 of the Clean Water Act and Section 10 of the Rivers and Harbors Act. Managing operations eventually drew her back where she ultimately became Chief of Operations Technical Section overseeing flood control and recreation facilities for 10 years. Following that, she served in Project Management as Chief of the Joint Federal Project completing the Folsom Auxiliary Dam and as Deputy to the Deputy District Engineer managing Programs and Project Management Division for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. In 2021 Jill joined the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service as the Deputy Regional Director for the Pacific Southwest Region.
Ms. Russi holds a Bachelor’s in Forestry and Natural Resource Management from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and a Master’s in Recreation Administration from Sacramento State University. She is a mother of three, an avid outdoorswoman and loves animals.
