Joel is originally from Ravenden Springs, Arkansas. Prior to working at Wolf Creek NFH, Joel served 4 years in the Marine Corps, worked on windmills in Palm Springs, California, and began his career with U.S. Fish &  Wildlife Service at Winthrop National Fish Hatchery in Washington state.
