About Joseph Sands

Joe grew up in Days Creek, Oregon and received an Honors Bachelor of Science in Fisheries and Wildlife Science from Oregon State University. Joe has a Master of Science in Range and Wildlife Management and Ph.D. in Wildlife Science from Texas A&M University-Kingsville. Prior to joining the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service in 2012 Joe was the Game Bird Program Coordinator for New Mexico Game and Fish in Santa Fe. Joe works extensively with the Pacific Flyway and a variety of conservation partners to manage waterfowl and migatory upland gamebirds through the Columbia-Pacific Region.
