About Lisabeth Willey, Ph.D.

Liz joined the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service in 2022 and works with partners and the Science Applications team to help advance landscape conservation initiatives in the Northeast region. Liz previously served on the faculty at Antioch University New England where she taught conservation biology, vertebrate ecology, and biostatistics courses, mentored graduate students studying a range of ecological questions, and worked with partners to develop region-wide conservation strategies for freshwater turtles in the Northeast. She received a PhD from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and a B.S. from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
