Climate change includes both global warming driven by human-induced emissions of greenhouse gases and the resulting large-scale shifts in weather patterns. Though there have been previous periods of climatic change, since the mid-20th century humans have had an unprecedented impact on Earth's climate system and caused change on a global scale.
Learn more about climate change adaptation. She has a creative background which she enjoys utilizing to further conservation efforts, through art and visual communication. As a major function of her role as a Fish and Wildlife Biologist for the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service Science Applications Program, she serves as coordinator for the Delmarva Restoration and Conservation Network (DRCN): a landscape collaborative (of over 40 organizations) formed to "plan and implement a Strategic Restoration and Conservation Action Plan for the Delmarva Peninsula." The DRCN's key work areas include: Restoration and Coastal Resilience, Conservation on Working Lands, Land Protection, and Conservation in Towns/Urban areas - all within a climate adaptation context.
