Susan Cooper

Susan joined the Indiana Field Office from the Illinois-Iowa Field Office where she's been the Deputy since 2019. Before returning to her Midwest roots, she spent over 10 years in Nevada where she began her federal career in 2008, working for the Bureau of Land Management. Based out of small, rural towns, this time provided rich experience in collaboration and multi-use land management. In 2011, she moved to Las Vegas to work for the Fish and Wildlife Service, and was the Deputy in Southern Nevada from 2014 to 2019. She gained significant experience with interagency consultation, developing strong partnerships, and supporting an office and team. While she's been with the ILIAFO, she’s loved living along the Mississippi River and learning from talented, smart, and creative colleagues, particularly about wind energy and NRDAR.
