About Tyler Hern
Tyler Hern is the Supervisory Fish Biologist at Erwin National Fish Hatchery. Tyler is a native of West Virginia, earning his bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science and his master’s in Biology from Marshall University. His previous employment includes positions with West Virginia Department of Agriculture, Tennessee Cooperative Research Unit, and Environmental Solutions and Innovations. Tyler began his career with USFWS in 2014 as a Fish Biologist at White Sulphur Springs National Fish Hatchery before his move to Erwin in 2018. Since then, Tyler has been instrumental in maintaining existing broodstock broodstock
