The U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service (Service) is inviting the community to celebrate Ha’ånen Litekyan (Ritidian Day) Saturday, March 29 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Guam National Wildlife Refuge Ritidian Unit.
Ha’ånen Litekyan (Ritidian Day) is a free public event for the community to enjoy and appreciate Ritidian’s natural and cultural heritage. Each participant will receive the new Junior Wildlife Ranger activity book and visit staffed check points around the refuge. For safety, participants under eighteen years of age must be accompanied by an adult. Participants should bring water, wear shoes, bring mosquito repellant and sun protection. Pencils and other materials to complete the activity book will be provided.
To register for the event, fill out this online registration form or call the Service’s Nature Center at (671) 362-8507.
“This year’s Ha’ånen Litekyan program will be a fun way for our island’s children to learn about natural and cultural heritage of Ritidian that engages the whole family,” said Marybelle Quinata, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service park ranger.
