Volunteer to keep Ritidian Beach beautiful at the Guam National Wildlife Refuge every first Saturday of the month. Pick up any trash and marine debris while walking along the scenic beach/trail. Gloves, trash bags, buckets, and a limited number of trash grabbers are provided. All participants must complete a Volunteer Agreement Form for beach clean-up activity that is valid for one year. Participants under 18 must have their parent/guardian sign consent to participate. This activity counts as service learning.
Volunteers can expect full exposure to sun/rain with no shade and walking approximately one and a half miles total. Volunteers must bring water (at least 16 oz), wear shoes and sun protection (reef-safe sunblock, hat & sunglasses are highly recommended).
IMPORTANT NOTE: No indoor restrooms or showers; porta potties available. Bring your own water for rinsing. All volunteers should wear shoes, bring a water bottle, and sun protection (hat, sunglasses recommended).
