Join our Christmas Bird Count on January 4, 2025 from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. The Christmas Bird Count (CBC) is one of the largest, annual, free, citizen science and bird count events with the National Audubon Society. Started in 1900, Christmas Bird Counts are conducted across more than 20 countries from December 14-January 5 to learn more about bird populations. Anyone interested in birds and learning more about the refuge is welcome!

Details:
-FREE. Be prepared to drive your personal vehicle all day and be outside.
-Bring: sunscreen, layers, binoculars and lunch.
-Meet 7 a.m. on January 4, 2025 at the visitor center.
-You can help for only a part of the time.
