Science Saturday: Walleye Wonders!

Our Science Saturdays are back! And just in time for walleye season!! Walleye are one of the most popular fish in the river, and our fishing pier is specifically designed to help anglers get out to where the fishing is the best!

We will have fun fish crafts and activities in the visitor center for families to enjoy as well as rangers on the pier helping set people up to try their hand at walleye fishing! While we will be there to help learn to fish, if you want to keep your catch you will need to bring your own cooler filled with ice to store the fish. We will not have any cleaning demonstrations or spots to clean any fish caught.

We can lend anyone a fishing pole and gear for the day, but everyone over the age of 17 will need a fishing license.
