Alchesay National Fish Hatchery is just one of the many field stations of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service whose mission is working with others to conserve, protect, and enhance fish, wildlife, and plants and their habitats for the continuing benefit of the American people.
Alchesay National Fish Hatchery is located in the picturesque canyon of the North Fork of the White River on the Fort Apache Indian Reservation. The North Fork along the hatchery provides opportunity for sport fishing of the threatened Apache trout. Come visit us to view the beautiful Fort Apache Indian Reservation and spend some quality time in the great outdoors.

Activities
Alchesay National Fish Hatchery provides viewing of the sub-catchable and catchable size trout prior to being stocked. Several different avian species can be seen throughout the year such as: Bald Eagle, Osprey, Great Blue Heron, and a wide variety of waterfowl.
