Upcoming Events
Jordan River National Fish Hatchery (NFH) provides aquatic education opportunities in the form of informative lectures, hands on activities and demonstrations to students from primary, secondary, and university level institutions. Staff engages the public on-site via scheduled programs and unscheduled visitation. Jordan River NFH stocks 7,000 catchable size rainbow trout to Service cooperators including tribes to provide fishing opportunities for youth and tribal elders. The hatchery delivers multiple off-site fishing events in partnership with a variety of recreational cooperators. This program contacts well over a thousand youth and their families annually and provides a safe, educational, and consumptive outdoor opportunity for the public.
The list of dates times and locations for 2024 Fishing Events sponsored by Jordan River NFH will be posted soon. In the interim please contact the hatchery office at 231-584-2461 for more details.
