Oil Pollution Act

The Oil Pollution Act provides that the Service consult with others on the development of a fish and wildlife response plan for the protection, rescue, and rehabilitation of fish and wildlife resources and their habitats harmed or jeopardized by an oil discharge.  The Act also authorizes the federal government to assess and recover natural resource damages from parties responsible for oil spills.
