Bethany Beach Firefly SSA Peer Review Plan

By the end of fiscal year 2024, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (Service) will make a decision on whether or not to propose to list the species as threatened or endangered and if so, whether or not to propose critical habitat. A draft species status assessment (SSA) is underway, and the results of the SSA will inform the listing decision. The listing decision will be made by the Service after reviewing this document and all relevant laws, regulations, and policies, and a decision will be announced in the Federal Register. The estimated peer review timeline is November 27, 2023 to December 22, 2023.
